About CCW International
A Veteran-Led Mental Health Practice Built Around Military Life
CCW International is a veteran-led mental health practice shaped by a deeply personal understanding of military service, family, sacrifice, and the importance of having somewhere to turn when life becomes too much to carry alone. Our military-experienced mental health practice serves service members, veterans, military spouses, families, and other eligible clients with virtual care designed to help people feel seen, respected, understood, and cared for as whole human beings.
A Note From Our Founder
The Why Behind CCW Has Been With Me All Along
I come from a family shaped by military service. I am fourth-generation Army, and some of my earliest experiences with military healthcare were not as a psychologist, but as a daughter.
As a child, I often spent time at the VA with my father, who carried both physical and emotional wounds from his Army service. At the time, I did not fully understand what I was seeing. I only knew that he had given a great deal in service and that the support he needed was not always easy to find.
Years later, I found myself in military medicine. I did not initially understand why that path felt so natural to me. But as I worked with service members, veterans, and military families, I realized how deeply I cared about the people sitting across from me and how personal that work really was.
My “why” had been with me all along.
My father and my grandfather served, sacrificed, and lived with experiences that were not always met with the understanding, mental health support, or community they needed. Their stories helped shape the kind of care I wanted to provide.
That is part of why CCW International exists today. We want to be a place for the men and women who have spent years carrying service, responsibility, trauma, leadership, family obligations, loss, and transition, sometimes without ever finding a place where they could finally put some of that weight down.
We want to be a place where veterans, service members, military spouses, families, and other people we serve can feel understood before they have to explain every part of why their experiences matter.
Our name has changed. Our reach has grown. But the heart behind the work is still deeply personal. Same heart. Broader reach.
Our Story
Same Heart. Broader Reach.
CCW did not begin as a large organization. It grew from a commitment to create a military family mental health practice where people could be cared for with warmth, dignity, clinical skill, and genuine human connection.
A Practice Begins
Women’s InnerFitness & Wellness Center began in Maryland with a focus on counseling and wellness support for women, children, and families.
Growing Into More
As the needs of our clients grew, so did our team, clinical services, wellness programs, groups, outreach, and ability to serve people virtually.
A Broader Mission
Tranquil Mind, the Veteran’s Center for Wellness, and the Women’s InnerFitness Center each became part of our evolution toward one connected organization.
CCW International Today
Centers for Counseling & Wellness International now brings those chapters together in one virtual practice with a deepening commitment to military-connected mental health and whole-person care.

Heard
Your experiences, relationships, culture, history, and goals deserve room in the conversation.
Understood
Military life and other high-responsibility environments can shape how people carry stress, loss, trauma, and change.

In the Community and Around the Table
Warmth is not something we want to communicate only in words. It is part of how we show up for the communities we serve, how we support our team, and how we build connection beyond the therapy session.
CCW works with major insurance plans serving military-connected families, including TRICARE, and is an approved VA Community Care provider.
There Is a Place for Your Story Here
Whether you have served, supported someone who served, carried a family through change, or simply reached a point where you are ready for support, you do not have to have everything figured out before you contact us.
