Counseling Support
Counseling That Meets You Where You Are
CCW provides virtual counseling for individuals, couples, military spouses, children and teens, college students, veterans, service members, and military-connected families. Whether you know exactly what kind of support you need or only know that something feels harder, heavier, or more complicated, we can help you identify a practical starting point.
Starting Counseling
You Do Not Have to Have Everything Figured Out Before You Begin
People come to counseling for many different reasons. Some are managing anxiety, depression, trauma-related stress, grief, relationship difficulties, or major changes.
Others may be functioning well in many areas while recognizing that something in their life needs more attention, support, or clarity.
The first step is not finding the perfect words. It is finding virtual counseling support that makes sense for what you are experiencing, who needs care, and what you hope will change.

Military-Informed Care
Sometimes the Context Matters as Much as the Concern
Military service can affect more than a job description. It can shape relationships, identity, family roles, transitions, expectations, and the way people approach asking for help.
At CCW, military-connected clients seeking virtual counseling do not have to spend the entire first session explaining the basic realities of military life.
We work to understand both what you are experiencing and the context in which it developed, including service demands, PCS moves, deployment cycles, reintegration, retirement, and family transitions.
CCW provides virtual counseling across ten U.S. jurisdictions, including Hawaii and Washington, DC, with our Germany expansion launching Fall 2026. Availability depends on clinician licensure or authorization, your physical location, clinical fit, insurance, and scheduling.
What Brings People to Counseling
You May Be Functioning Well and Still Need Support
Virtual counseling is not limited to moments of crisis. People often seek therapy because something has become harder, more persistent, or more complicated than they want it to be.
Anxiety & Worry
Persistent worry, tension, overthinking, or difficulty relaxing.
Depression & Mood
Low mood, reduced motivation, irritability, withdrawal, or disconnection.
Trauma-Related Stress
Emotional and stress reactions connected to difficult experiences.
Grief & Loss
Support through loss, separation, change, and adjustment.
Relationships
Communication, conflict, trust, emotional distance, and relationship transitions.
Family Stress
Changing roles, parenting concerns, transitions, and family strain.
Military Transitions
PCS moves, separation, reintegration, retirement, and changing identities.
Life Changes
Career changes, school, relationships, caregiving, and major decisions.
Therapy Approaches
Good Counseling Is Not One-Size-Fits-All
Two people can experience similar concerns and need very different forms of support.
A clinician may draw from different evidence-informed approaches during virtual counseling based on your needs, goals, history, preferences, and what is clinically appropriate.
The goal is not to fit every client into the same therapy model. It is to develop an approach that makes sense for the person receiving care.
Not Sure Where to Start?
You Do Not Have to Choose the Perfect Counseling Page First
You may know that you want support without knowing whether individual counseling, couples counseling, family-related support, or another service is the best starting point.
Tell us who the virtual counseling is for, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope will improve.
Our team can help identify an appropriate next step based on your needs, location, and clinician availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Counseling at CCW
How do I know what type of counseling I need?
You do not have to determine that completely on your own. Start with who needs support and what concerns are bringing you to counseling. Our team can help identify an appropriate service.
Does CCW provide virtual counseling?
Yes. CCW provides virtual counseling subject to clinician authorization, physical location, availability, clinical fit, insurance requirements, and clinical appropriateness.
Do you provide counseling for military-connected clients?
Yes. Military-informed care is a central part of CCW’s work, including services for eligible service members, veterans, spouses, children, teens, and families.
Can I receive counseling even if my concern is not military-related?
Yes. Military-connected clients experience many of the same concerns as anyone else, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, family stress, identity, and major life transitions.
How do I choose a therapist?
Fit may depend on therapist specialty, location, licensure, availability, treatment approach, and personal preference. Our Meet Our Team page can help you learn more about CCW clinicians.
What if I am not sure counseling will help?
You do not need to be certain before making contact. An initial conversation can help clarify what you are experiencing and whether counseling may be an appropriate next step.
Start With What You Know
You do not need the perfect words, a diagnosis, or certainty about which virtual counseling service you need. Tell us what has been happening, who needs support, and what you would like to be different. We can help you identify the next step.
