You Should Not Have to Explain Military Life Before Therapy Can Begin
Military families often manage demands that are difficult to understand from the outside. Deployments, frequent moves, separations, reintegration, changing roles, caregiving, school transitions, career disruption, grief, and uncertainty can affect every member of the household.
CCW’s military mental health services are designed to meet those realities directly. Our team includes veterans, military spouses, and clinicians experienced in trauma-informed care grounded in military experience.
Whether you are serving, have served, or love someone who does, the goal is the same: provide a place where the context of military life is understood and the person in front of us is treated as more than a diagnosis.
Care for the Whole Military Family
Different members of a military family can be affected by the same transition in very different ways. CCW provides multiple pathways to care so each person can receive support appropriate to their needs.

Individual, Couples, Family and Group Support
Military mental health is not one-size-fits-all. Some people need individual treatment. Others need support with a relationship, parenting, a child’s adjustment, or the sense of isolation that can come with military life.
Not Sure Which Type of Counseling Fits?
You do not need to choose the perfect service before contacting us. Tell us who needs support, where you are located, and what you are experiencing. Our team can help identify an appropriate next step.

Group support can offer something individual therapy cannot always provide: the experience of being in a room, even a virtual one, with people who recognize the language, the losses, the transitions, and the pressure without needing a long explanation first.
CCW’s current military-focused group offerings include Operation Warrior Talk for combat veterans and our Teen Life and Social Skills Group. Military spouse support programming is also developed as interest and enrollment allow.
Group availability can change, so visit the Group Counseling page for current status and enrollment information.

Military Support Resources for the Moments Between Sessions
Sometimes the next useful step is not another therapy appointment. Families may need practical resources, trusted programs, peer support, educational tools, or guidance about where to look next.
CCW maintains a Military Support Resource page designed to make those options easier to find.
We are also developing guided military resources such as W.E.S.E.R.V.E.D.™ for people who want a private place to begin reflecting on wellness, emotional regulation, self-awareness, voice, empowerment, and direction.
Explore Military Support ResourcesVirtual Care That Can Move With Military Life When Licensing Allows
CCW provides virtual counseling across ten U.S. jurisdictions, including Hawaii and Washington, DC, with our Germany expansion launching Fall 2026. Because telehealth laws and clinician licenses vary by location, availability depends on where the client is physically located at the time of the appointment, the clinician’s authorization to practice there, insurance requirements, clinical appropriateness, and current provider availability.
Military families who relocate should contact CCW before a move so the team can review whether continuity of care is permitted in the new location and whether insurance or referral requirements will change.
Use the Benefits Available to You When Coverage Applies
CCW works with major insurance plans used by military-connected clients, including TRICARE, and is an approved VA Community Care provider. Coverage, referrals, authorizations, cost sharing, and provider participation can vary by plan, service, clinician, and location.
TRICARE
Coverage may be available for medically necessary mental health services when plan, referral, network, and authorization requirements are met.
VA Community Care
Eligible veterans may receive authorized services through VA Community Care when a valid referral and authorization are in place.
Other Insurance Plans
CCW also participates with selected commercial plans. Benefits should be verified before treatment begins.
