Dr. L. Imani Price, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, U.S. Army veteran, and Founder & CEO of Centers for Counseling and Wellness International (CCW International), a veteran-owned comprehensive wellness center providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health counseling services through secure telehealth across the United States and internationally for military communities.
With decades of experience serving civilians, veterans, active-duty service members, military spouses, and women, Dr. Price has dedicated her career to helping individuals build resilience, heal from trauma, and improve emotional well-being. Her approach combines science-backed psychology with whole-person wellness, recognizing the powerful connection between mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
Before founding CCW International, Dr. Price served as a Clinical Psychologist in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Major while providing psychological care for military personnel facing trauma, operational stress, deployment challenges, and life transitions. That firsthand experience continues to shape her work supporting military mental health and therapy designed specifically for military families.
Dr. Price earned her doctorate from Purdue University, where her research examined women’s coping styles, spirituality, and psychological well-being. Today, she remains passionate about helping clients strengthen their mental health through evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed treatment, and integrative behavioral health approaches. She frequently educates clients about practical CBT tools like the CBT Triangle, helping people understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another to create lasting change.
As a psychologist, educator, author, and speaker, Dr. Price believes mental health treatment extends beyond symptom reduction. Her clinical philosophy incorporates sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress management, hydration, mindfulness, and self-care as essential components of long-term emotional wellness.
In addition to leading CCW International, Dr. Price is the author of two books, co-host of the Her Valor, Her Voice podcast, and an advocate for women’s wellness, military resilience, and accessible online mental health services. Under her leadership, CCW International serves military families stationed throughout Germany, Italy, Japan, and across the United States through confidential telehealth counseling, and evidence-based psychological care.
Whether discussing trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, women’s mental health, military transitions, or resilience, Dr. Price is committed to providing trustworthy, research-informed education that empowers individuals and families to thrive.
